General Informations Bibs and SI-Card
- Each Team Leader must collect their team’s bibs at the Secretariat (located at the Hotel Quiaios on the
12 of February and at the Arena of each following day);
- The official POM 2010 bib is compulsory; on it every athlete will find their starting time for each day, SI Card Number, Class, Club and Country;
- You will not be allowed to start your race without your bib. Should you loose your bib, another one will be made available for you at the Secretariat (€1,00 (one euro) surcharge);
- Please check your data on the bib and carefully cross-reference your SI Card number;
- All data modifications must be presented at the Secretariat before presenting yourself at the Start.
Starting time and race maximum time
- All changes to competition starting times must be made before the day of the Stage they concern;
- The time limit for each Stage is of 3h00 (three hours) for Long Distances and 02h00 (two hours) for Medium Distances.
Results
- POM 2010’s final results are defined by the sum of points of each athlete in all four stages;
- This competition is ruled by the FPO Competitions Regulation (2009/2010 season). Any case not present in that document will be ruled by IOF regulations.
Maps (fair-play)
- Maps will not be collected at the end of any stage;
- POM 2010’s staff is confident that all athletes will maintain an attitude of fair-play and sportsmanship throughout the event.
Electronic Control System
- Sport Ident (SI Card) is the system used by POM 2010;
- Every athlete or group (in open OPTs classes) will run with a SI Card (rented if necessary) and map;
- At the beginning of every stage the SI Card must be cleared and checked (please make sure you already downloaded the information of the previous stage);
- Every control is done by inserting the SI Card into the station (roughly 1 second until it beeps and flashes);
- The controls must be made according to the sequence in which they are presented in each Course;
- The SI Cards’ information must be read/downloaded at the end of every stage.
- Rented SI Cards are subject to a down payment of €50,00 (fifty euros) each. Should you loose of fail to return a rented SI Card, you will loose this down payment.

WRE (POM 2010’s Stage 2)
- Awards to first 5 W/M Elite.
POM (Portugal’s Cup – 4 stages’ point sum)
- One award to every first 3 (5 if Elites) athletes of all junior and competition classes;
- One award to every first athlete/team of all Open Classes (OPT 1,2,3 e 4);
- Trophies for all 3 most punctuated Clubs .
Arena
Start, Finish, Secretariat, Snack-Bar, Baby Sitting, Orienteering School and First Aid will be located at or nearby each Stage’s Arena.

Car keys can be left at the Secretariat.
- Baths
Colégio de Quiaios Sports Hall (sleeping floor), through out POM 2010 4 Stages.
Additional facilities for Stage 1 at the Football pitch of Leirosa, 400mts from the Arena
- Baby Sitting
At the Arena (close to Start and Finish); if weather conditions worsen, service will be relocated to Colégio de Quiaios Sports Hall (sleeping floor).
Information will be available close to the starting times lists.
- Orienteering School
At the arena during Stages 2 and 3.
- Snack-Bar
At the Arena, through out POM 2010 4 Stages.
- First Aid
Each Stage will have a support and First Aid area and service. Ambulance and transport to the nearest clinic/hospital will be assured, in case of need.
