Mikhail Mamleev and Simone Niggli are the winners of the 15th edition of POM and occupy not the top of the Board of Honour.
“A few minutes to the end of 18 months of work and four days of exhausting activity the organization of POM2010 speeds the preparation of the prize giving ceremony at request of many orienteers with scheduled commitments. Some had a flight to catch others the afternoon train to prepare. The truth is that on of the most important parts of the event was neglected for a few moments, the competition! The list of results do disclose at the prize giving ceremony was printed a few minutes before the arrival of one of the potential winners of POM. Mihhail Mamleev had fought in the previous three days at the highest level against his opponents and started in the end of list in the last day. With finish time short before 14h run for the 10th best time and takes overall win of POM2010. The prize giving ceremony was on the way and the alert come out of time.
The board of the event the more that 120 members of the evolved in this organization present their sincere regrets for this terrible incident.
Unfortunately the strong commitment and dedication of the organization did not avoid this error, still we are convinced the organization of POM2010 was accomplished with success.

The organization of POM2010 has received extraordinary good feedback on the terrain and map quality.
The board of POM cannot avoid congratulating the map maker and course setter of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd days, Rui Antunes.
A large part of the success of this event is due to his great commitment, dedication and professionalism.

The event will start at 15.30 on the 15th February, in the Figueira da Foz Camping Site and the start times will be told on site by arriving order. Before the event there will be a small workshop, about the Trail-O Sport, done by the National Technical Director Antonio Aires. This presentation will be in the Ginásio Clube Figueirense room in Estádio Municipal José Bento Pessoa nearby Figueira da Foz Camping Site. |

The registration for the competition classes’ closes on Friday 5 of February. After that date (February 5) only registration for the open courses are accepted, dependent of the map availability.
This limit is important so that the organization can fulfil the posting of the start times in the internet, print the bib numbers and advance the secretariat preparations. We are now two weeks away from that deadline and believe that no one will be jeopardize by this adjustment of the registration limit. |
