Location

The training camp maps cover a region between Leiria, Marinha Grande and Figueira da Foz. Located near the Atlantic Ocean, this region has a fair variety of vegetation types, but the famous Leiria Pinewood Forest is the predominating one, along the seaside. This is a central region of the country, half-way between Lisbon (130 Km) and Porto (180 Km). It is served by 3 highways providing excellent accessibilities: A1 highway connecting Lisbon to Porto, A8 highway connecting Lisbon to Leiria and A17 highway connecting Aveiro to Leiria.
